Harvest Paddle | September

We look forward to bringing you this event when it is once again safe to do so!

Leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life and join Willamette Riverkeeper for 27 miles of paddling over 2 days on our first annual Harvest Paddle! Take in the splendor of fall colors on the River, an afternoon of laughter with friends and an evening celebrating the hops harvest by tasting beer and cider made by local Willamette Basin Breweries, all followed by a catered dinner and camping under the stars. Sunday will be another glorious day, paddling 14 miles to our take out near St. Paul.

PADDLE DETAILS:

WHEN: September 19-20 | WHERE: Salem to St. Paul, 27 miles over two days | COST: $389 per guest includes all tasting fees, 3 catered meals (appetizers, dinner with paired beers and cider, Sunday breakfast and lunch) and shuttle transport.

Saturday: We will meet and park in Salem's Wallace Marine Park at 9:00am. Willamette Riverkeeper will transport your camping gear to the campsite, so there is no need to load it into your boat. For the day of paddling you will only need whatever items you want with you on the water for the day. Saturday’s 12 mile paddle will take us to our campsite on Grand Island, an Oregon State Parks Greenway property located behind Wheatland Bar.

Saturday Evening: After you set up your tent, you'll taste a variety of beers and ciders produced within the Willamette River Basin while enjoying appetizers and later a catered dinner.

Sunday: After a hot breakfast and yoga class on Sunday morning, we'll pack up and head downstream, paddling 14 miles to our take out at San Salvador Park, arriving around 2:30pm.  Here we'll load you and your boat onto our shuttle buses, and transport you back to your vehicle at Wallace Marine Park in Salem, where you will arrive around 4:00pm.

What to Bring: Pack a lunch and water bottle for Saturday afternoon (the rest of your meals will be catered), your own paddle craft, tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad.

Registration will open in April.
