On October 4th, volunteers across Oregon will unite for the 15th annual Great Willamette Cleanup, with sites stretching from the river’s headwaters to its confluence with the Columbia. Pick the spot closest to your heart and Get Dirty for Good alongside neighbors, families, and fellow river lovers. Every bag of trash collected and every shoreline restored adds to a healthier, more resilient Willamette River.
the 15th annual Great Willamette CleanUp
OCTOBER 4th, 2025
The Great Willamette Cleanup is a one-day event where Willamette Riverkeeper pairs with organizations throughout the valley to run both on-land and on-water trash cleanups along the banks of the Willamette River. This is a day to celebrate our beloved river, find community in our fellow volunteers, and make a meaningful impact for the health and beauty of the Willamette. All cleanup events run from the morning through the early afternoon and will be followed by volunteer appreciation parties at 1:30pm in Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene (details TBA).
Use one of the registration links below to sign yourself (and a friend!) up for a cleanup at one of the many sites that we are helping to protect.
