The Wild & Scenic Film Festival celebrates the beauty of our natural world and inspires action to protect it. As a fundraiser for Willamette Riverkeeper, proceeds support efforts to restore and protect the Willamette River and its tributaries. This event provides an opportunity to connect with local environmental advocates while enjoying an evening of thought-provoking films.
This event will feature a remarkable lineup of short films, including PLACE by Corvallis-based filmmaker Jeremy Monroe, founder of Freshwaters Illustrated. This compelling film follows a Cayuse tribal member harvesting lamprey at Willamette Falls and explores themes of migratory fish, urban forests, and community stewardship. Other films highlight topics such as citizen science, salmon habitat restoration, and native land conservation.
With support from National Partners like American Rivers, Earthjustice, and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, along with local sponsors Paddle People, REI Co-op, Freshwaters Illustrated, and Oregon Paddle Sports, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival promises an evening of inspiration and engagement.
