WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper, Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, and the City of Corvallis Parks team for a cleanup effort in the Crystal Lake floodplain in Corvallis. This is a big effort, and will require many hands to be as efficient as possible. We welcome groups!
WHEN & WHERE: Wednesday June 15th, 9:00am - 12:00pm. Please be on time to meet up at Crystal Lake Boat Ramp. We will walk to the site from there and meet up with the ODFW jet boat at the river's edge to load trash so our rangers can haul back to the boat ramp, where Corvallis Parks team members will load into trucks for proper disposal. We will also have a secondary group join ODFW on the jet boat to get dropped across from Crystal Lake on Cannibal Island to compile trash for take out.
DETAILS: Please dress for the weather and bring water, work gloves (if you have them) and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, trash grabbers and PFDs, which are required for any passengers on the jet boat.
