WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and the City of Eugene Recreation team for a paddling cleanup effort starting from Eastgate Woodlands at the the end of Aspen Street (aka: D Street Boat Ramp) picking up trash to Alton Baker Boat Ramp. Limited seating available for those without boats - please indicate your reservation in registration.
WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, June 14th, 8:30am - 1:00pm
BYOB'rs are meeting at Aspen Street boat ramp to unload and head to Alton Baker Boat ramp. For everyone else, please park your car at Alton Baker Boat ramp and join us on the City shuttle back to Aspen Street at the put-in. Your cars will be available for easy take out access at the end of our effort.
DETAILS: Please be on time - we will run a shuttle first, followed by a safety briefing and clean up plan before heading out. Please dress for the weather (and the water!), bring water, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, trash grabbers and PFDs for those reserving a seat in a raft. PFDs are required and must be worn at all times on the river to participate in this event.
NOTE: All BYOBrs should be proficient paddling in Class II moving water on this segment of the river.
