Portland: Superfund Discovery Paddle

WHAT: Together we will paddle 4 miles through the Portland Harbor while learning about the Willamette River and the Superfund Site located in N Portland, from Executive Director, Travis Williams. 

WHEN & WHERE: Thursday, August 25 from 4pm - 7pm. We will gather near the boat launch at Cathedral Park, located on the north side of the St John's Bridge when you arrive at Cathedral Park. Parking and restrooms will be available. 
*We will be launching from and returning to the same site.

DETAILS: Our group will launch from Cathedral Park, paddle up river towards the Willamette Cove and McCormick & Baxter site. We'll hear from Travis Williams, Willamette Riverkeeper Executive Director, about the history of the site, and what work is being done to improve our river. Pack along water, weather appropriate gear, sunscreen, sun hat, your paddle craft and PFD. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide cold beverages and snacks!

All ages and skill levels are welcome for this evening paddle!

Don't have a boat? No problem, reserve a seat in one of ours! We have a limited supply of tandem canoes available - so bring a friend to paddle with, or make a new paddling friend on this trip. Each reservation comes with a PFD and paddle. Reservations must be made ahead of time.
