Find out how your workplace can contribute to WRK and other conservation organizations through Earth Share of Oregon's workplace giving campaigns.  Earth Share works with employers to offer a payroll deduction program through which employees can either donate to Earth Share of Oregon (ESOR) as a whole or to designate a gift for one or more ESOR members, such as Willamette Riverkeeper

In campaigns at 80+ businesses and public agencies, ESOR annually generates almost $700,000 to support environmental nonprofits that work to protect human health, preserve wildlife habitat and reduce the causes and effects of global warming.

Volunteer

Willamette Riverkeeper provides great opportunities to volunteer your time to learn more about the river, contribute to our programs, and become involved in river issues.

Contact Amy Morrison, River Protection Coordinator, if you are interested in any of the following opportunities.  Be sure to check our calendar for up coming events and the next chance to get involved.

Education and Outreach Events

In order to reach out and talk with people about issues related to the river and our organization, we often need volunteers to represent Willamette Riverkeeper at our display booth at events through out the valley.  These events range from annual festivals like the Corvallis’s da Vinci Days and Portland’s Salmon Festival, to monthly club meetings, weekly Saturday Markets and special events, like school fairs and paddling demonstrations.  If you are interested in learning about the river and Willamette Riverkeeper and would enjoy sharing what you know with other people, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

River Discovery Volunteer Trip Assistant

Are you interested in sharing your canoe or kayak paddling skills with beginning paddlers?  Do you have knowledge of a certain stretch of the river you would like to impart on others?  Do you like working with youth?  Willamette Riverkeeper is looking for a few great paddlers to lend a hand with our River Discovery Paddles.  Help with safety, paddling instruction, outreach and educational components, or whatever skills you might have to bring to the program.

In the Office

We always welcome volunteers who have the skills to help in our office with a variety of tasks. Whether it is helping with a mailing, providing research or organizational expertise, developing an educational brochure, or working on a specific project, we are more than happy to receive this kind of volunteer assistance.  If you have free time during the day or specific skills you’d like to offer us, this opportunity might be the one for you.

Alerts & Announcements Email List

A simple way to increase your knowledge and involvement in river issues is to sign up for our email list.  Emails provide information via periodic alerts and announcements that give recipients opportunities to increase their knowledge and provide feedback on issues that effect decisions being made about the Willamette River. Send us an e-mail at info@willamette-riverkeeper.org to be included in our email list.
