Willamette Riverkeeper and the Oregon Bluegrass Association have come together to host an evening of funky, earthy acoustic music. Join us for this benefit event at the Bagdad Theatre in Portland and show your support for the River. All proceeds go to Willamette Riverkeeper’s programs and the Oregon Bluegrass Association.
Starting off the show will be Mary Flower, a local fingerstyle, acoustic guitar artist. Flower’s elegant, funky and inventive playing on vintage guitars makes her one of a mere handful of women guitarists admired for their instrumental prowess.
Then, The Misty Mamas will take the stage with their powerful harmonies, traditional and original songs as well as tasteful instrumentals combining the American genres of bluegrass, old time, folk and country music.
Larry Wilder and The Stumptown Stars will wrap up the evening with a combination of bluegrass, folk, Americana roots, and cowboy music. Larry has won entertainment awards and is an accomplished arranger and bandleader. A riveting vocalist, he is also renowned for his solid, tasty, and lightning fast acoustic instrumentals on banjo, guitar, and Autoharp.
Ticket prices are $20 and this is an all ages show, so bring the whole family.
